Pursuant to DepEd Memo No. 35 s. 2016, all government schools in the Philippines from Kindergarten to Senior High School will conduct the National Schools Maintenance Week, more popularly known as Brigada Eskwela. In this yearly week-long activity, all stakeholders of education within the community are encouraged to take part in ensuring that public school facilities are ready for the opening of the new School Year in June. This is the time of year when the Bayanihan or the Filipino Spirit of Volunteerism is perfectly showcased.
In the public secondary school of Quezon National High School in the province of Bukidnon, Career Guidance Advocates intend to raise funds to supplement the school’s budget for School Year 2016-2017. In addition to the intensification of the career guidance services provided to their adolescent students, the advocates thought of getting the parents proactively involved in their children’s education, having them join regular learning sessions, and helping them create a reliable support group within the community. To give both parents and students an enhanced and meaningful learning experience, the Guidance Office needs some major renovation and office equipment need to be purchased.
No matter where you are in the world right now, you, too, can share in the Bayanihan Spirit and make a meaningful contribution to the lives of these children. Every cent donated will be definitely put to good use in the improvement of QNHS students’ learning experience. You can make your contribution now by clicking on this link.
